Unbelievable! Ayushmann Khurrana Left Kareena Kapoor Khan Starrer Daayra For This Personal HOBBY

Meghna Gulzar’s project, currently titled Daayra has encountered a significant setback as it is now in search of a new leading actor. Ayushmann Khurrana, who was set to star opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, has withdrawn from the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Reports indicate that Khurrana’s existing commitments overlap with the filming schedule for “Daayra,” prompting his departure.

Why Did Ayushmann Khurrana Exit Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra?

According to a report by a leading publication, Meghna Gulzar aims to commence filming Daayra by the end of 2024. However, Ayushmann Khurrana, who is also a musician, has a music tour scheduled across various US cities in November. Additionally, he has committed his time to three major projects: “Border 2,” an untitled film with Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, and another film with Maddock Films.

A source spilled the beans revealing, “Ayushmann’s music tour is already announced, and it includes multiple performances across major US cities. Plus, besides Border 2, he has committed to two movies, one with Karan Johar and Guneet Monga Kapoor, and another with Maddock Films.”

Who Is Replacing Ayushmann Khurrana?

The insider added, “The dates are currently being negotiated for all the projects, but Meghna’s movie is not on his list.” Reports also say that Meghna Gulzar has already begun her hunt for a replacement for Ayushmann Khurrana.

In addition to his music tour, Ayushmann Khurrana has committed to two films, one with Karan Johar and Guneet Monga Kapoor, and another with Maddock Films. He is also in discussions to possibly join Sunny Deol in Border 2 with dates for these projects still being negotiated.

The production team has been informed of his decision to exit Daayra and Meghna Gulzar is now searching for a suitable replacement for the lead role.

Meghna Gulzar, known for her dedication to real-life storytelling, is preparing to address another compelling story. Her upcoming film, tentatively titled “Daayra,” will delve into the tragic 2019 Hyderabad rape and murder case.

While specific details about the project are still undisclosed, it will be interesting to see who Gulzar selects to star alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan after Khurrana’s departure.

This film was meant to be the first collaboration between Kareena and Ayushmann, as well as Meghna’s first time working with both actors. Throughout her career, Meghna has worked with three of the leading actresses of modern cinema: Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone in “Chhapaak,” and Alia Bhatt.
