Paris Jackson, singer and daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has announced her engagement to music producer Justin Long. The couple, who have been together since 2022, shared the news on December 6.
Despite their relationship largely staying out of the spotlight, Jackson revealed their engagement on Instagram while wishing Long, whom she lovingly calls “Blue,” a happy birthday.
Jackson expressed her joy in a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
Who Is Paris Jackson’s Fiance Justin Long?
Justin Long attended Grace College & Seminary in Indiana, graduating in 2007 with a degree in marketing and business administration. He initially worked in business before transitioning fully to music in 2013.
As a music producer, engineer, and songwriter, Long has been active since 2005. He gained prominence working at Barefoot Recording in Los Angeles, where he collaborated with major labels such as Warner Brothers and Capitol. His portfolio includes work with artists like 5 Seconds of Summer, Nickel Creek, and Grace Potter.
Justin Long’s Collaboration with Paris Jackson
Long and Jackson began working together professionally in 2022. He has been involved in several of her live performances, including her 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and her 2023 set at the Bottlerock Music Festival in Napa Valley.
Their professional relationship eventually evolved into a romantic one. In February 2023, Jackson credited Long for his role in her song “Bandaid.” Although the exact timeline of their transition from collaborators to partners is unclear, Jackson’s recent post indicated they have been romantically involved for “years.”
The couple got engaged in 2024, with Jackson sharing photos of the moment on Instagram. Long proposed in a lavish setting, presenting Jackson with a ring. She had previously been spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring during Paris Fashion Week in September.
Before her relationship with Long, Jackson dated her bandmate Gabriel Glenn for two years, ending in 2020. Reflecting on her heartbreak during an episode of Red Table Talk in 2021, she shared that she had become more cautious about relationships.
While she was open to marriage, she noted her focus at the time was on her spirituality and music. Her engagement to Long marks a new chapter in her journey, blending love, creativity, and mutual support.
