American rapper Travis Scott was taken into custody early this morning in central Paris following a confrontation with his own bodyguard, according to the French news outlet Valeurs Actuelles. Authorities detained Scott at the scene.
Police sources indicate that the 33-year-old musician was intoxicated during the altercation. One official involved in the investigation told the Daily Mail, “The suspect was drunk and had been fighting with another man—possibly a hotel receptionist.”

Due to his inebriated state, Scott was not immediately fit for questioning and was placed in a cell to sober up. He remains in custody on suspicion of “violence against another person” and is expected to be interrogated by judicial police on Friday, once he is deemed fit for questioning.
Scott’s attorneys have not yet commented on the situation. The rapper is currently in Paris for the Olympics and attended the men’s basketball semi-final between Serbia and the US on Thursday.
This incident follows another in June, when Scott was detained in Miami after a reported “disturbance on a yacht.” When questioned by police, he admitted to drinking, remarking, “It’s Miami.”
Scott shares two young children, Stormi and Aire, with his ex-partner Kylie Jenner. The pair has been in an on-and-off relationship since 2017 but are not currently together. Just a week before his June arrest, Scott reportedly got into a physical altercation with Jenner’s ex-boyfriend Tyga in Cannes.
