Yuzvendra Chahal issues statement over rumours of his divorce from Dhanashree Verma

The leg-spinner responded to rumours over his relationship with his wife Dhanashree Verma on his official social media site.
The recent social media behaviour of Dhanashree Verma, a YouTuber and the wife of India’s star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, has sparked a lot of suspicion in recent hours. On her official Instagram profile, Dhanashree had dropped the word “Chahal,” and this sparked speculation among the fans about a potential argument between the couple. The rumours were also sparked by Yuzvendra Chahal’s Instagram story, in which he talks about beginning a “new life.”

Chahal, though, advised his followers on Thursday not to believe in “rumours” in a new Instagram story.
He noted: “I humbly ask that none of you take any of the rumours about our relationship seriously. Please put a stop to it. Light and love to all.”

In a private ceremony in December 2020, Chahal wed Dhanashree. The couple is well-known on social media. The couple frequently appears in each other’s Instagram videos, with Chahal seen dancing with his wife while Dhanashree supports the cricketer during his national obligations and appearances in the Indian Premier League.

Earlier this year, Dhanashree was quite active on social media throughout the IPL. She also posted footage with Rajasthan Royals’ ace batter Jos Buttler, which went viral.

Chahal, who is a crucial component of India’s limited-overs teams at the moment, will play again in the Asia Cup 2022, which begins on August 27. The leg-spinner made an impressive return to the team after abruptly being fired prior to the T20 World Cup last year. Chahal, who presently leads India in wickets in the T20 format (79 in 62 games), will be in charge of the team’s spinners at this year’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia in October and November.
