Government Faces Backlash After Deadly Violence Against Civilians

Local reports indicate that since the early hours of the day, four innocent civilians have tragically lost their lives, and 23 others have been injured. The responsibility for this devastating situation is being placed on Mohsin Naqvi, the establishment, and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). PTI claimed that, the act of opening fire on unarmed citizens is not only a brutal violation of human rights, but also one of the most reprehensible actions any government or authority can take. It demonstrates a complete failure of moral duty and an utter disregard for the sanctity of life.

The PTI party of Pakistan shared a post on the microblogging platform X, stating, "Children are among the protesters, yet snipers are firing directly at the crowd. We will continue to raise the slogans of freedom!"

Imran Khan's Defiant Message From Jail

Imran Khan, speaking from jail, praised the Pakistani people and Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters for their peaceful protests despite challenges from corrupt forces. He urged his team to keep fighting until their demands for justice are met, declaring, "We will not back down. Khan condemned the violence against protesters, accusing Rangers and police of firing on peaceful citizens under Mohsin Naqvi’s orders. He vowed accountability for those responsible. He thanked Overseas Pakistanis for their support and praised social media warriors for highlighting the cause globally. Addressing threats of a military trial, Khan said, "Do what you must, I will not relent." Khan concluded by calling on all supporters to join the movement at D Chowk, urging peaceful unity for Pakistan’s true freedom.

The demonstrators are only a few hundred meters from the Red Zone, where they intend to stage the sit-in, now that they have entered Islamabad.
