One Nation One Election Bill Live Updates: The government is set to present the « One Nation, One Election » bill in the Lok Sabha today. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal is expected to introduce two key pieces of legislation: the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024, and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill.
Both the BJP and Congress have issued a three-line whip, directing all their Lok Sabha MPs to be present. Additionally, Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha are scheduled to gather at 10:30 AM at the Central Parliamentary Party (CPP) office to discuss the implications of the « One Nation, One Election » proposal.
