These specific light waves penetrate the skin to a depth of approximately 8 to 10 millimeters, where mitochondrial chromophores absorb the photons. This activation triggers various nervous system and metabolic processes.
Simply put, red light therapy has gained popularity as a form of biohacking to address numerous conditions. It’s been shown to alleviate pain, decrease inflammation, and promote restoration of function.
