There has been a big Naxalite attack in Dantewada of Chhattisgarh.
10 DRG soldiers and one civilian driver have been martyred in the attack. An IED attack occurred on a vehicle carrying the District Reserve Guard (DRG) force at Aranpur in Dantewada.
Regarding the attack, CM Bhupesh Baghel said the Naxalites would not be spared. Naxalism will be rooted out.
According to the information, the encounter between the Naxalites and the Jawans is still going on.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah spoke to Chief Minister of Chattishgarh and took stock of the Dantewada incident. He said centre will give all possible help to state government.
IG Bastar, P Sundarraj said, “10 DRG jawans and one civilian driver lost their lives in the attack…Bodies of all of them are being evacuated from the spot. Senior officers are present there. A search operation is underway”.
