Over 70 pieces of heavy machinery, including JCBs and Hitachis, are actively being used to sift through debris and locate survivors. Despite these efforts, more than 140 people remain unaccounted for. Tragically, yesterday, two dead bodies and seven body parts were recovered from the wreckage.

Currently, 85 relief camps are providing shelter to over 9,000 displaced individuals. In these camps, more than 150 doctors and medical professionals are offering counseling and support to the rescued individuals. Additionally, over 125 injured persons are being treated at separate medical facilities set up for their care.

Local elected representatives from across all political parties have been tasked with the responsibility of rehabilitating the affected population. They are working to identify rental houses and other temporary shelters in nearby panchayat areas. Efforts to provide food and clothing to those in need are also underway.

The ongoing operation underscores the scale of the disaster and the extensive measures required to address the immediate needs of the affected communities. The collaborative efforts of rescue teams, medical staff, and local officials continue to play a crucial role in managing the aftermath and supporting recovery.

Updates and further details on the rescue operations will be provided as they become available.
