The Uttarakhand Director General also stated that all district in-charges have been directed not to impose Chardham duties on police officers over the age of 55.

“Considering the high altitude, adverse conditions, long duty, and health of police officers,” he said, “all district in-charges have been directed not to impose Chardham duty on police officers over the age of 55.”

On May 17, CM Dhami opened the Registration Office and Transit Camp for Char Dham Yatris in Rishikesh, which cost approximately Rs 22.25 crore.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the state government has made every effort to provide all possible facilities to devotees for the Char Dham Yatra.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also inspected all the works being done for the convenience of Chardham Yatris on the occasion of the inauguration of the Registration Office and Transit Camp for Chardham Yatris. On this occasion, he also went to the transit camp’s hospital, registration office, inquiry, and help centre, and reviewed all of the arrangements.

In addition, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with devotees from various states who had come to participate in the Char Dham Yatra. He greeted everyone who came to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. On April 22, the Chardham Yatra began on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya.
