Renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal officially became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi. Following her induction into the party, the singer expressed her joy, stating that it was a privilege for her to join the BJP.
During a joint press briefing held at the party’s headquarters, she stated, “Today, I am delighted to be aligning myself with a government that shares such a profound connection with Sanatana. It is indeed a stroke of luck for me to be joining the BJP today.”
When questioned about her potential candidacy in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Anuradha Paudwal responded, “I am yet to decide. I will consider whatever suggestions they offer.” Recipient of the Padma Shri in 2017, the playback singer also graced the stage at the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22. Paudwal’s BJP membership was formalized in the presence of senior party figures, including Arun Singh and chief spokesperson Anil Baluni.
