2024 Lok Sabha election: AAP Set to Unveil Candidates for All 13 Punjab Lok Sabha Seats in Coming Fortnight

AAP candidates Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Punjab, urged the public to back them in order to guarantee a clean sweep in Punjab during an event in Ludhiana.

AAP announced that within two weeks, candidates for all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab would be announced for the upcoming general elections. This announcement was made by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal. To guarantee a sweeping victory in the state, they pleaded with the electorate to back party candidates.

Mann and AAP national convener Kejriwal were in Khanna to introduce the free ration home delivery service.

The chief minister of Punjab, speaking to the assembly, announced that citizens would no longer need to make numerous visits to fair pricing stores or stand in long lines to obtain ration supplies since they would be delivered right to their house. He charged that previous state administrations disregarded the poor.

Mann chastised the Congress party, denouncing it as split into several sections and reducing Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to a non-entity.

Mann did take aim at Sukhbir Badal, suggesting that the “Punjab Bachao Yatra” of the former deputy chief minister ought to be called “Parivar Bachao Yatra.”

“SAD is accused of sacrilege incidents in Punjab and Congress has lost its ground as they did nothing for people. Bharatiya Janata Party, meanwhile, had introduced farm laws and many farmers had died while fighting against it. Only AAP deserves votes from Punjab,” Mann said.

During his speech, Kejriwal declared his intention to bring free ration delivery to Delhi, emulating the Punjab model. However, he also claimed that the national government run by the BJP was unnerved by the proposal.

He continued by promising the Punjabi people that the Mann administration will continue to improve the state’s government schools and hospitals and would also create 3 lakh new jobs for the people living there.
