Today in Parliament, I called for the return of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji’s royal throne from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. I urged the Indian government to use its diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom to make this happen.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji’s rule united Punjab and promoted secular values, justice, equality, cultural heritage, and good governance.

I also requested that we include the incredible legacy and contributions of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji in our school textbooks so students can learn about his achievements and good governance.
