Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha Safely Returns to Mumbai After Being Stranded in Israel

Indian actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has finally returned to Mumbai after being stranded in Israel. She had travelled to Israel to participate in the Haifa International Film Festival but became stuck there due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Earlier, her team had assured the public that they had managed to get in touch with her and, with the assistance of the Embassy, were arranging for her safe return to India.

“We have finally managed to get in touch with Nushrratt and with the help of the Embassy, she is being safely brought back home. We did not get a direct flight so she is on a connecting flight home. For her further safety, more details cannot be shared but as soon as she lands in India, we will inform you. We are relieved and thank god that she is safe and on her way to India,” said Sanchita Trivedi, Nushrratt’s publicist.

Regarding the conflict in Israel, the situation escalated when a barrage of rocket fire from Gaza into Israel hit several cities, including Tel Aviv, Rehovot, Gedera, and Ashkelon at around 6:30 am (local time) on Saturday. This was followed by several Hamas militants entering Israel from the Gaza Strip and taking control of Israeli towns.

Hamas military commander Muhammad Al-Deif referred to the operation as “Al-Aqsa Flood” and cited it as a response to attacks on women, the desecration of the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, and the ongoing siege of Gaza. The death toll from the multi-front attack by the Hamas terror group on Israel has surpassed 300 and is expected to rise further, with many reports of serious injuries.

Returning to Nushrratt, she was recently featured in the film ‘Akeli,’ released last month. The film revolves around an Indian woman stranded in war-torn Iraq, depicting her struggle for survival against all odds. ‘Akeli’ is directed by Pranay Meshram, who previously served as an associate director for various projects. The film is produced by Dashami Studioz’ Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, and Aparna Padgaonkar, along with Vicky Sidana and Shashant Shah.
