Bangladesh is facing continuous unrest in the recent days. More than a decade old leader Sheikh Hasina resigned as the Prime Minister of the country and fled to India following a massive protest that barged into the PMO office and looted her belongings.
The protest began over the job quota scheme and escalated into the movement that demanded its removal.
Sources indicate that Air India will run its two scheduled daily flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday and may also arrange a special flight for evacuation. Vistara and IndiGo will operate their scheduled services to Dhaka as well.
Vistara typically runs daily flights from Mumbai and three weekly flights from Delhi to Dhaka. Both Vistara and IndiGo had canceled their Tuesday flights to Dhaka. Normally, IndiGo operates daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to Dhaka, plus two daily flights from Kolkata.
