Alert sounded in Uttarakhand over possibility of Amritpal Singh entering State through Haryana

The possibility of absconding pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh entering Uttarakhand has been raised, according to Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) V Murugesan on Saturday morning.

Murugesan went on to say that he had received information from the Punjab Police that the Khalistan supporter who fled Punjab might enter Uttarakhand through Haryana. He told ANI that checks and monitoring are being conducted, and that an alert has been placed in all possible locations.

According to the police official, the district police have also been notified, and the border has been placed on high alert.

An alert was issued in the Uttarakhand districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, and Udham Singh Nagar on Friday as a precaution due to the possibility of Amritpal Singh entering the state.

On Friday, teams from the Delhi Police and the Punjab Police launched a search for Amritpal Singh in Delhi and along its borders in anticipation of him entering the national capital.

The head of the pro-Khalistani outfit Waris Punjab De is suspected of fleeing the national capital, according to Delhi Police.

According to reports, the Delhi Police and Punjab Police were conducting a search operation in Delhi and its surrounding areas after receiving intelligence about Khalistan sympathizer Amritpal being seen at Delhi’s ISBT bus terminal.

According to intelligence reports, he may be disguised as a sadhu. According to reports, Papalpreet Singh is accompanying Amritpal Singh.
