Amit Shah Leads BJP Campaign with Roadshow in Channapatna Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

In a spirited display of political fervor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spearheaded a lively roadshow in Channapatna, Karnataka, as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Seated atop a specially designed vehicle, the home minister warmly greeted the enthusiastic crowd, accompanied by former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai.

The streets of Ramanagara echoed with the resounding chants of “Modi Modi” as Shah and his supporters traversed through, drawing a massive gathering of BJP supporters and party members along the route.

Earlier in the day, Shah engaged with party workers in Bengaluru, emphasizing the importance of bolstering grassroots leadership and organizational strength in preparation for the imminent Lok Sabha elections.

“I am here to affirm that the BJP-JDS alliance in Karnataka will secure victory in all 28 Lok Sabha seats, ensuring that the Congress fails to make any headway,” Shah proclaimed, rallying fellow party workers in Bengaluru.

The Union Minister’s visit underscores the pivotal role of Karnataka in the political arena, signaling the government’s unwavering commitment to the state’s progress and welfare.

Responding to the Union Home Minister’s presence in the state, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar remarked, “We welcome all political rivals. Similar rallies have been conducted in the past, but I anticipate they will not garner much traction. Nevertheless, I wish them the best.”

The BJP has fielded candidates in 25 Lok Sabha constituencies, reserving three seats for its ally JD(S) in the state’s political landscape.

Among the notable contests, JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s son-in-law, C N Manjunath, will vie for the Bengaluru Rural constituency against three-time MP and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s brother, D K Suresh.

The general elections in Karnataka are scheduled to be held in two phases on April 26 and May 7 across 28 constituencies.
