Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated five new government medical colleges in Vizianagaram personally and virtually in Machilipatanam, Nandyala, Eluru, and Rajamundry. Following the inauguration, he visited a photo exhibition at the medical college to learn more about the institutions.
Additionally, Chief Minister Reddy instructed the Education Department officials to prepare for the distribution of a second installment of tablets to Class 8 students and teachers this year.
He emphasized the need for training classes on tablet usage for digital assistants in village and ward secretariats.
He also called for the installation of IFPs and smart TVs in classrooms of schools that completed the first phase of Nadu-Nedu by December, along with providing broadband facilities to schools equipped with these technologies. The CM highlighted the importance of enhancing government school profiles through the curriculum, aiming to surpass private corporate schools in quality.
This move is expected to elevate the status of government schools.
