Arvind Kejriwal’s Wife Assures Truth Revelation in ‘Liquor Scam’ Case

Arvind Kejriwal’s Wife Assures Truth Revelation in ‘Liquor Scam’ Case

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of incarcerated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asserted on Wednesday that her husband, currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over alleged involvement in an excise scam, will disclose the truth regarding the case during his court appearance on March 28.

Ahead of Kejriwal’s scheduled court appearance on Thursday at the conclusion of his ED custody in the Delhi excise policy money laundering case, Sunita Kejriwal released a video message. In the message, she criticized the central government and the investigating agency, highlighting the absence of evidence despite over 250 raids conducted in connection with the alleged liquor scam.

“In the so-called liquor scam, ED has conducted more than 250 raids. They are searching for the money of this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet. Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will reveal everything in court on March 28. He will reveal where the money of the liquor scam is. He will also provide proof,” she stated.

Sunita Kejriwal also revealed that she met her husband at the ED office on Tuesday evening. She further expressed concerns about his health condition, mentioning his struggle with diabetes and uncontrolled sugar levels. Despite health challenges, she emphasized his determination and cited his recent directives to resolve water and sewer-related issues in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy case, as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation by the ED. He remains in ED custody until March 28.

The case revolves around allegations of procedural deficiencies and financial irregularities in the formulation and execution of the Delhi excise policy in 2022. While Kejriwal’s name initially surfaced in the ED’s chargesheet, he has vowed to unveil the truth during the legal proceedings.

The development comes amid political tensions and accusations between the Aam Aadmi Party and the central government, underscoring the significance of Kejriwal’s impending court appearance in addressing the allegations leveled against him.
