Ayodhya’s Deepotsav: 24 Lakh Diyas Across 51 Ghats, Tribal Participation Sets Sights on World Record

Ayodhya is gearing up for an extravagant Deepotsav on the eve of Diwali, featuring a mesmerizing display of over 24 lakh diyas adorning 51 ghats throughout the city. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path is being transformed with vibrant floral decorations to enhance the Deepotsav celebration, and the Uttar Pradesh government aims to create a Guinness World Record with this illuminated spectacle.

The grand event will host visitors from various places, including 48 tribal individuals from the Pakur district of Jharkhand. These tribal guests, hailing from a mountainous region, have arrived barefoot to partake in Ayodhya’s Deepotsav. Sent by the Jharkhand Pradesh Shri Ram Janaki Charitable Service Trust, they will light lamps in their traditional attire tomorrow in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

This marks the first visit to Ayodhya for the people of the Pakur district, adding a unique and culturally rich dimension to the Deepotsav celebration. Notably, the inclusion of tribal communities from Jharkhand enhances the diverse and inclusive spirit of the festive occasion.
