A disturbing video capturing several individuals assaulting another person with a rod in Bengaluru has circulated widely on social media, prompting the police to apprehend five suspects from east Bengaluru. According to reports, the accused individuals are facing charges of attempted murder.

The incident was recorded by Instagram user Harikrishnan P using his car’s dashboard camera. In his post, he recounted witnessing a harrowing scene during his drive near Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. He described seeing a person being brutally attacked with a steel rod on the main road, while the assailant walked away indifferently. Harikrishnan urged authorities to take swift action against the perpetrators.

An investigating officer involved in the case, speaking to a leading publication stated, “We located the victim, registered a complaint, and apprehended the accused.” The Bengaluru Police also issued a statement regarding the incident, sharing a video that begins with a text insert stating, “Following a viral assault video, Hennur PS promptly located the victim, resulting in the arrest of five suspects.”

The police further elaborated, “A dashcam video from a car in Bengaluru captured the assault of a man by a group of five. The suspects have been apprehended by police in east Bengaluru. It was discovered that the victim and two of the accused were employed at the same firm, and the assault stemmed from a disagreement.”
