The Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saw a big crowd assemble and walk enthusiastically as the yatra resumed from the Dodwa-Taraori crossing on Sunday morning.
Party leaders Selja Kumari and Deepender Singh Hooda joined Rahul Gandhi on the 114th day of the yatra.
The yatra will stop for the night in Kurukshetra near Pratapgarh GT Road.
Despite the cold and dense fog that blanketed North India, particularly Haryana, the fans were ecstatic and passionate.
Along with a drum march, supporters carrying yatra posters were observed.
While responding to BJP leaders who questioned him about the ongoing Kanyakumari to Kashmir foot-march, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi referred to his Bharat Jodo Yatra as a ‘Mohabbat ka dukaan’ (shop of love) in the midst of an existing ‘nafrat ka bazaar’ (market of hatred).
Earlier on Saturday, the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ marched into Karnal.
Despite the deep fog that blanketed most of the northern belt, yatra fans waved the national flag and danced to the rhythm of the drums.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra re-entered Haryana on Thursday evening and will go across four districts from January 5 to 10.
The first part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana, which took place between December 21 and 23, spanned approximately 130 kilometres and travelled through the districts of Nuh, Gurugram, and Faridabad.
