Recently, Bihar Police have filed a case after the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in Patna received an email threatening to blow up the building, officials reported on Sunday.
On July 16, the CMO received an email from an unidentified account claiming affiliation with Al-Qaeda. The email threatened that the CMO premises would be “blown up with a bomb” and asserted that even Bihar’s special police could not prevent it.

The threat prompted an investigation by the police and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). An FIR was subsequently filed at Sachiwalaya police station on August 2 based on the statement of Station House Officer Sanjeev Kumar.
A case has been registered under Sections 351 (4) and (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 66 (F) of the IT Act against unidentified individuals, according to police sources.
