In a shocking development from MP, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Rajnagar assembly constituency Arvind Pateria has lodged a complaint against an unidentified caller who pretended to be a senior official from the BJP Delhi office. The caller demanded ₹1 lakh in exchange for offering Pateria a higher position within the state party organization, according to an official statement.

As per the official, MLA Pateria received the call a few days ago and reported the incident at the Rajnagar police station in Chhatarpur district on Friday.
Talking to ANI, City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Aman Mishra said ‘Rajnagar MLA Arvind Pateria received a call from an unknown number a few days ago. The caller claimed to be a senior office bearer from the BJP office in Delhi and demanded ₹1 lakh from the MLA in return for promoting him to a higher post in the Madhya Pradesh party organization.’

But, following the complaint, the police have registered a case under relevant sections against the unidentified caller and have initiated an investigation into the matter. CSP Mishra further noted that the investigation is exploring all angles, including whether artificial intelligence was involved or not.
