“BJP will get stronger under Sunil Jakhar”: Arjun Ram Meghwal praises party’s new Punjab chief

BJP’s New Punjab Chief Sunil Jakhar to Strengthen Party’s Presence in the State, Says Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.

In a show of confidence, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal expressed optimism about the BJP’s prospects in Punjab under the leadership of the newly appointed state president, Sunil Jakhar. Speaking to reporters, Meghwal highlighted that with Jakhar at the helm, the party would witness significant growth in the border state.

“I think under the leadership of Sunil Jakhar, our new Punjab president, we will make big strides in ensuring that the majority of lotuses in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections bloom here,” stated the Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Sunil Jakhar assumed the role of the BJP’s Punjab unit chief on July 4, taking on the responsibility to lead the party to electoral success.

Praising Jakhar’s vast political experience and able leadership, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh emphasized that his appointment would infuse new strength and direction into the party’s Punjab unit. Chugh extended his best wishes to Jakhar and expressed confidence that his leadership would translate into a resounding victory for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Former BJP presidents in Punjab were also lauded for their commendable efforts in strengthening the party’s presence in the state. Notably, Ashwani Sharma’s role in keeping the party organized and active during the protests against the Centre’s farm laws was highly appreciated.

Chugh emphasized that the BJP workers in Punjab were filled with new energy and zeal, contributing to the party’s growing strength in the AAP-ruled state. The party is gearing up for upcoming Assembly elections in five states – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram later this year.

With preparations in full swing for the forthcoming electoral battles, the BJP, under Sunil Jakhar’s leadership, aims to deliver a vastly improved performance in Punjab during the next year’s general elections. The appointment of Jakhar and the party’s growing momentum signify a strong push to bolster BJP’s influence in the state.
