The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched Tapas Saha’s house and seized documents as part of an ongoing investigation into a school recruitment scam. The CBI stated in a statement that they conducted searches at six locations in West Bengal, Karnataka, and other states on Friday, including the home of an MLA from the Tehatta constituency in West Bengal and others. Documents found during searches are being examined.
On the orders of the Calcutta High Court, a case was registered. The Complainant claimed that the said MLA conspired with his PA from 2016 to 2021 and allegedly collected money in exchange for promising State Government jobs in various departments throughout West Bengal.
The CBI investigation into Tapas Saha follows allegations of corruption leveled against several Trinamool Congress leaders in West Bengal. The case is still being investigated, and more information is awaited. The investigation is currently underway.
