CBI Arrest in NEET Paper leak case
In a significant development in the NEET paper leak case, a student from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, has been arrested by the CBI. The student, Sandeep Kumar, is an MBBS student from a local medical college and has been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. The CBI has been granted a 5-day remand for Kumar to facilitate further questioning and investigation.
This arrest is part of a broader crackdown, with the CBI having apprehended a total of 9 MBBS students so far in connection with the leak. Despite these efforts, the agency is still actively pursuing Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is alleged to be the mastermind behind the paper leak. The ongoing raid for Mukhiya’s capture continues to be a focal point of the investigation.

The absence of Mukhiya’s arrest thus far has raised significant questions about the progress and effectiveness of the CBI’s investigation. The continued pursuit of Mukhiya and the examination of all involved individuals remain critical as the CBI seeks to unravel the full extent of the paper leak conspiracy.
The NEET-UG 2024, held on May 5, became controversial due to reported malpractices. The NTA and the NDA government faced severe backlash, with protests erupting both on the streets and in Parliament.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its first charge sheet in the paper leak case, naming 13 people as accused. Among those named are Nitish Kumar, Amit Anand, Sikander Yadvendu, Ashutosh Kumar-1, Roshan Kumar, Manish Prakash, Ashutosh Kumar-2, Akhilesh Kumar, Avdesh Kumar, Anurag Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Shivnandan Kumar, and Ayush Raj.
