The Rudraprayag district administration began preparations for the Chardham Yatra on Saturday, which is expected to begin on April 22. “The district administration has started clearing the snow at the Kedarnath Dham and the pedestrian routes of Kedarnath,” informed the officials.
The Uttarakhand Tourist Development Council (UTDC) had said that it will give tokens for darshan during the Chardham Yatra. One of the most prominent Hindu pilgrimages in India is the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. This pilgrimage takes you to four holy locations in the Himalayas: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
The high-altitude shrines are closed for around six months each year, opening in the spring (April or May) and shutting with the arrival of winter (October or November). The inauguration of the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples will kick off the Chardham Yatra on April 22. Kedarnath will open on April 25th, followed by Badrinath on April 27th.
