The second “Chintan Shivir” of top officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, which is going to create an action plan for bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vision 2047” into reality, will be officiated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday in New Delhi.

The purpose of this “Chintan Shivir,” as per the reports, is to communicate with senior ministry personnel and “develop an action plan for implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vision 2047.”

On April 18, Shah oversaw the inaugural “Chintan Shivir” of top MHA personnel, during which he placed a priority on creating an ecosystem for managing cybercrime, modernizing police forces, enhancing the use of IT in the criminal justice system, managing land borders, and coastal security concerns.

The Union Minister continued by emphasizing the need for more AI usage to use the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) database for critical analysis of crimes, making cities safer for women, children, and vulnerable groups.

The inaugural “Chintan Shivir” had dual objectives of reviewing the Ministry’s operations and developing an action plan to carry out Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vision 2047.” Shah also emphasized the importance of accelerating the hiring process, saying that hiring should begin far in advance of any anticipated future vacancies.

He further stated that departmental promotion committees (DPC) meetings should be held often to ensure that staff receives promotions in a timely manner.

The Minister also stressed the need of implementing different welfare measures for members of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), such as building medical facilities and raising the proportion of inhabitants who are satisfied with their homes.

The Home Minister also underlined the value of training and stated that all MHA wings should undertake regular training.

Shah next suggested that MHA officials visit construction sites to observe development plans and gave the go-ahead to hasten the building of border area roads and fences.
The Home Minister had also highlighted the necessity for all top officers to exhibit tact and a human touch.

Furthermore, he provided insightful discussions on the directions Ministry should take and exuded optimism that the talks at the “Chintan Shivir” will contribute to greater planning and coordination in these areas. During the meeting, top officials were instructed to work diligently as a team by Shah.

The MHA dashboard, GLIS, Budget Utilisation, E-Office, Special Recruitment Drive, etc. were all examined by Home Minister Amit Shah together with other systems.

Home Minister also evaluated the works of several departments regarding their targets and deliverables for the coming years, the status of AatmaNirbhar Bharat, Budget announcements and other important longstanding issues.
