In a shocking and tragic twist of events, a student of Class 12 shot the principal of a school in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. In a brazen move, the student was able to flee the spot from the principal’s scooter with his accomplice.
According to Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, “the horrific incident occurred at approximately 1:30 PM at the entrance of the toilet of the school.” The principal, SK Saxena, was attacked as he reached the site. The student, a Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School, shot Principal Saxena on the head, killing him on the spot.
Both the shooter and his companion, another student, managed to escape on the scooter of the principal, sending the entire school into shock.
About Principal SK Saxena
The 55-year-old Principal SK Saxena had been working for the last five years in the Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School. The sudden and untimely death has devastated the local educational community for all it knows about him – an erudite, committed school leader. District Education Officer RP Prajapati confirmed the details; as Principal SK Saxena stepped inside the toilet of the school premises for his morning ablutions. He will be mourned by the institution’s students and staff in deep sorrow.
Arrest Of Primary Accused
After a prompt inquiry, the main accused in the dastardly murder case was arrested. Police sources have confirmed that the accused had been caught by the Naugaon police in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh.
Two students had committed the murder, and the police are conducting further investigations in this regard. The accused student was brought to Orcha Road Police Station for interrogation. The police have now started piecing together the motives behind this brutal act.
