Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday participated in the Tiranga Yatra organized as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Bhopal. He stated that the event was held ahead of Independence Day to remind people about patriotism and the tragic story of partition. He also emphasized that we must resolve to ensure such a division never happens again.
“I extend my congratulations to MLA Rameshwar Sharma, who organized the longest Tiranga Yatra as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Bhopal. The Tiranga Yatra, held ahead of Independence Day, serves to remind people of patriotism and the tragic story of the partition of India. We must resolve that such a division should never occur again. I extend my congratulations to everyone on this occasion,” CM Yadav told reporters.
Ahead of the Tiranga Yatra, CM Yadav addressed the gathering and held the Congress responsible for the partition of the nation, stating that the Congress leaders of that time had assured that the country would not be divided. However, according to Yadav, those promises were false, and the nation faced the harsh reality of partition.

“The then veteran Congress leaders claimed that the nation would not be divided, but unfortunately, I must say that all the promises were false, and the country fell into the grip of the terrible situation of partition. At the time of Independence, when the country was united in its struggle for freedom, accepting partition was an act of cowardice,” the CM said.
“We have not witnessed that pain ourselves, but history bears witness to the injustice and atrocities of that time,” he added.
In a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, “Today, I participated in the Tiranga Yatra program under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,’ organized by MLA Rameshwar Sharma in Mukherjee Nagar, Kolar locality in Bhopal. On the call of PM Modi, the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan has successfully instilled a spirit of national patriotism in the citizens,” he further wrote.
