CM Shinde Raises ‘Kanyadan Yojana’ Aid to ₹25,000 for Beneficiaries

The financial assistance provided by the state government under the “Kanyadan Yojana” will rise from ₹10,000 to ₹25,000, according to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The program’s goal is to empower women by giving them financial assistance for marriage.

At a meeting in Palghar on Saturday, the chief minister announced that a government resolution in this regard will be released shortly. In response to questions about the tribal communities, he also said that matters such as the expansion of “gaothan,” the application of the Forest Rights Act, and the extension of PESA Act benefits to Adivasis and Other Backward Classes would be carefully considered.
