According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) scientists, cold wave conditions are projected to re-emerge over North-West India and peak around January 15-16, with minimum temperatures forecast to drop two days from today.
While talking about the oncoming cold wave conditions in North India, Roy stated “You’ve probably observed that the temperature has risen recently. This is due to the current western disturbances across the northern area.”
“These western disturbances are expected to march eastward beginning tomorrow. As a result, temperatures will begin to decline after 48 hours. Similarly, there is a potential that cold wave conditions would reappear across North-West India on January 15 and 16 “According to the IMD scientist.
Temperatures are not predicted to decline much as a result of the gradual drop in winter conditions across India, according to Roy.
