Congress Launches ‘Ghar Ghar Guarantee’ Campaign Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

The Congress Party kicked off its ‘Ghar ghar guarantee’ campaign from New Delhi as part of its preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, slated to commence on April 19. Under this initiative, party leaders aim to connect with over 80 million households across the nation.

Jairam Ramesh, the Congress General Secretary in Charge of Communications, highlighted the campaign’s objective, stating that party workers and leaders would distribute guarantee cards to 8 crore families. These cards outline the party’s commitments, including the five ‘nyay’ principles and 25 guarantees announced by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

Ramesh emphasized the significance of the campaign, noting that it symbolizes the party’s commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of every household in the country. The distribution of guarantee cards commenced from New Delhi and would continue nationwide.

Additionally, the Congress is set to unveil its election manifesto on April 5 in New Delhi, with top leaders slated to address mega rallies in Jaipur and Hyderabad the following day. The manifesto will focus on the ‘Paanch Nyay’ pillars of justice, encompassing ‘Yuva Nyay’, ‘Naari Nyay’, ‘Kisaan Nyay’, ‘Shramik Nyay’, and ‘Hissedari Nyay’, along with the party’s electoral promises for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The manifesto’s formulation involved extensive consultations and received thousands of suggestions through email and the ‘Awaaz Bharat Ki’ website, reflecting the party’s commitment to inclusive governance.

Meanwhile, the Congress took a swipe at the BJP’s manifesto committee, alleging its formation at the “last moment” as an attempt to merely fulfill formalities. The BJP’s manifesto committee, comprising 27 members, including Union ministers and chief ministers, is tasked with preparing the party’s manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls, headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
