The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) announced on Sunday that it will stage a demonstration against the state administration in over 300 locations. During a news conference at the KPCC Office on Sunday, Congress MLA NA Harris stated that top party officials, including former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, State Congress president DK Shivakumar, and Congress MLAs, will stage a protest at Trinity Circle on January 23.
This demonstration is against the state’s CM Basavaraj Bommai and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration over corruption and other concerns.
“The state government is not ready to respond to the corruption charges. We have now decided to launch a protest and fight against it. Tomorrow our protest will be held at more than 300 locations in Bengaluru,” MLA NA Harris told reporters.
Abhishek Dutt, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), and MLA NA Harris were also present during the KPCC convention. The demonstration will take place at 200 signals, 26 flyovers, and 25 metro stations in Bengaluru at the same time.
Previously, the Congress claimed that the BJP charged a 40% fee to government contractors.
The party further claimed that the state administration is corrupting the recruitment of police officers, engineers, teachers, and others.
