Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that consumption of meat and liquor should be prohibited in Ayodhya. The CM’s remarks came during a review meeting of the ongoing development projects in Ayodhya.
Indian Express quoted BJP MLA who attended the meeting as saying, “The CM’s view is justified. Ayodhya is a religious city and it is going to be the spiritual capital in future. Liquor and meat should be prohibited here.”
The CM also inspected the ongoing construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He directed the authorities to develp Ayodha as a ‘model city of urban development.’
Yogi Adityanath was on a two day visit in Ayodhya. The CM offered his prayers at Hanumangarhi temple and also had darshan of Ram Lalla. Later, he held a meeting to review development projects being executed as per Ayodhya vision-2047.
