Daljit Chaudhary Given Additional Charge Of BSF

Following the removal of BSF DG  Nitin Agrawal and sending him back to his state cadre, the director general of SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal)  Daljit Chaudhary has now become BSF’s acting director general.

Chaudhary will hold the position till a permanent appointment is made or till further orders are given.

Meanwhile, Agrawal’s deputy special director general Y. B. Khurania  has also been terminated and has been sent back to Odisha cadre.

This decision come amidst the increase in infiltration and terror activities in Jammu region.

In a previous year, Nitin Agrawal became BSF chief in June and he is an IPS officer  of 1989 batch. He comes from Kerala Cadre. He took the charge when Pankaj Kumar Singh retired.
