In a tragic turn of events on Monday, two home guards were shot dead, and approximately twelve policemen were left injured during a clash between two groups in Haryana’s Nuh district. The incident has sparked tensions in the region, leading to the suspension of mobile internet services by the Haryana government.

The deceased have been identified as Neeraj and Gursevak, both of whom were deployed at the Khedali Daula police station. The injured policemen have been rushed to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon for medical treatment.

According to police reports, the violent confrontation occurred when the police teams were on a march from Gurugram towards Mewat. The mob unleashed an attack on the police, resulting in the unfortunate loss of life and injuries to law enforcement officers.

In response to the incident, Gurugram CP Kala Ramachandran made a fervent appeal to the public to refrain from posting anything on social media that could incite further violence and create unrest. He emphasized the importance of respecting religious sentiments and maintaining peace and harmony.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed his condolences over the incident on Twitter and assured that those responsible for the violence would be brought to justice. He urged citizens to remain calm and uphold the state’s tranquillity.

As a measure to prevent the spread of misinformation and rumors through social media platforms, the Haryana government has taken the decision to suspend mobile internet services in the Nuh district. The move aims to curb the potential for the misuse of technology to fuel further violence and chaos.

Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda termed the incident in Nuh “unfortunate” and urged people to maintain law and order in the area. Congress MP Deepender Hooda also appealed for peace, emphasizing the need for brotherhood and harmony.

Authorities are currently investigating the root cause of the clash and taking necessary steps to restore peace and order in the region. Initial investigation has suggested that clashes took place after various social media posts were made to incite the mob.
