Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Thursday inaugurated Vande Bharat Express to Dehradoon that the world is watching India with bated breath today and that the country has achieved incredible progress in building the economy, combating poverty, and combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister stated that people from all over the world want to visit India to see and grasp its core. In such a situation, places like Uttarakhand have wonderful prospects, according to the Prime Minister, who flagged off the first run of the Vande Bharat Express from Dehradun to Delhi through video conference.
The Prime Minister stated that India is now unstoppable and that it is advancing and would continue to advance at the same pace as Vande Bharat.
“India is being watched with great hope. The world wants to come to India to see India, and to understand the essence of India, in such a situation there are excellent opportunities for states like Uttarakhand. Vande Bharat train is also going to help Uttarakhand in taking full advantage of this opportunity,” the Prime Minister stated.
He stated that the government had altered Indian railways, making high-speed trains a reality. The Prime Minister stated that in the coming days, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will become a magnet for the spiritual consciousness of the entire world.
“Devbhoomi will become the center of attraction for the spiritual consciousness of the whole world in the coming days. We have to shape Uttarakhand’s development as per future demands,” PM Modi further stated.
Prime Minister Modi stated that work on the Rs 12,000 crore Char Dham Grand Project is progressing rapidly. Cheering for the people of Uttarakhand, he stated that this railway will provide a faster connection between the country’s capital and Devbhoomi.
“This train, running between Delhi and Dehradun, will connect the country’s capital with Devbhoomi at a faster speed. Now the time on the train journey between Vande Bharat between Delhi-Dehradun will also be reduced considerably,” he went on to say. Uttrakhand got its first Vande Bharat on Thursday.
“Delighted to flag off the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express. It will ensure ‘Ease of Travel’ as well as greater comfort for the citizens,” said PM Modi in a tweet.
Vande Bharat a gift to Devbhoomi, 5000 crores allotted for railways in Uttrakhand: Ashwini Vasihnav
Ashwini Vaishnav, the Union Railway Minister thanked PM Modi and stated that provisions for railroads in Uttarakhand have been done up to Rs 5000 crores this time.
“Today is a very fortunate day. PM is giving a big gift of Vande Bharat to Devbhoomi today. 10 years from today, when it came to the development of railways, Rs 187 crore was received from the central government and when Modi ji came in 2014, he immediately arranged funds for Uttarakhand. Arrangements up to Rs 2000-4000 crore were made for railways in Uttarakhand and this time they have made arrangements of Rs 5000 crore,” Ashwini Vaishnav told.
The train was designed and manufactured in India and has innovative safety features such as Kavach technology. It features world-class amenities and marks a new era of convenient travel, particularly for visitors visiting the state.
According to an official announcement, Indian Railways is on a mission to totally electrify rail systems across the country, guided by the Prime Minister’s objective of providing cleaner modes of public transport.
