Deja Vu! PM Modi To Hold Rally In Jammu Marking 3rd Event Since 2013

Today (Feb 20th) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a rally in Jammu. This will mark as the 3rd public event at the Maulana Azad Stadium since 2013.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to initiate the groundwork and officially launch more than 200 development initiatives valued at ₹30,500 crore. Additionally, he will be distributing virtual employment offers to young individuals and engaging with residents across the Union Territory during the event on February 20th.

Prime Minister Modi is set to unveil a range of initiatives, such as the inauguration of AIIMS in Jammu, the world’s highest railway bridge spanning the Chenab River, and the pioneering Devika River project, the first of its kind in North India, aimed at rejuvenating the river, all happening in Udhampur. Additionally, he will also be addressing the rally.

Repeating History!

Turning the page backwards, in 2013, following the declaration of the then Gujarat Chief Minister as the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi delivered a significant address known as the “Lalkar Rally” at Jammu’s MA Stadium on December 1st. This rally, attended by over one lakh people, remains ingrained in memory as the largest political gathering ever witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. It was widely acknowledged for its role in the BJP’s victory, securing three Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 elections – two in Jammu and one in Ladakh – marking a historic achievement for the party in the region. In the subsequent 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP once again clinched three Lok Sabha seats – Jammu, Udhampur, and Ladakh.
