Repeating History!
Turning the page backwards, in 2013, following the declaration of the then Gujarat Chief Minister as the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi delivered a significant address known as the “Lalkar Rally” at Jammu’s MA Stadium on December 1st. This rally, attended by over one lakh people, remains ingrained in memory as the largest political gathering ever witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. It was widely acknowledged for its role in the BJP’s victory, securing three Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 elections – two in Jammu and one in Ladakh – marking a historic achievement for the party in the region. In the subsequent 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP once again clinched three Lok Sabha seats – Jammu, Udhampur, and Ladakh.
