Delhi: Congress Working Committee Likely to Hold Meet On Oct 9

Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting is likely to convene in Delhi on October 9th. The agenda for this meeting encompasses a wide array of significant topics, ranging from the Women’s Reservation Act to the imperative caste-based census.

The forthcoming meeting is poised to delve into an extensive discussion concerning the current political landscape in the country, with a particular emphasis on the Caste-based census and the Women’s Reservation Act.

The Congress party recently concluded a two-day CWC meeting in Hyderabad, during which party leaders expressed their optimism about securing a “clear mandate” in the forthcoming assembly elections slated to be held in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana later this year.

As part of their commitment to the electorate, the party adopted a resolution during the meeting, pledging to meet the expectations of citizens in areas such as law and order, individual freedoms, social and economic justice, equality, and equity.

Furthermore, the Congress party unveiled a comprehensive set of six guarantees aimed at benefiting the residents of Telangana, reaffirming their dedication to uplifting the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. Speaking on this development, General Secretary KC Venugopal stated, “The Congress has put forth six Guarantees to facilitate the transformation of Telangana into a prosperous state, addressing the needs of the economically disadvantaged, and ensuring a life of dignity for all.”
