In the early hours of Monday, a fire broke out at restaurants in Delhi’s INA market, resulting in several injuries. According to officials, seven to eight firefighting vehicles were deployed to the scene to manage the situation.
The fire department reported receiving a call at approximately 3:20 am about a fire at a shop in INA market. In response, seven to eight fire trucks were sent to the location.
The blaze reportedly began at a Chinese food shop and quickly spread to a neighbouring restaurant. Four to six people sustained burns and were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.

STO Delhi Fire Service official Manoj Mehlawat stated that the fire started around 3:20 am, and several fire engines were on site. The fire affected a Chinese food corner and an adjacent restaurant, injuring five to six people, including the owner of the fast food establishment.
Mehlawat noted that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. He mentioned that an excessive number of commercial gas cylinders stored in the restaurant could have potentially led to a more serious incident.
In a separate incident earlier in April, two people suffered minor burns when a fire broke out in a residential building in Delhi. The incident occurred in a duplex apartment on the third and fourth floors of Minasar Apartments in Rohini’s Sector 14.
