On the 44th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, national president JP Nadda hoisted the party flag at the party’s headquarters in the national capital on Thursday. “BJP is a political party but it is working for the welfare of the whole nation today. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the party has made groundbreaking achievements. We got the inspiration from Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat under PM Modi’s leadership,” Nadda said.
According to reports, the party plans a week-long social peace campaign beginning on April 6 and ending on April 14, the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Nadda has also sent a letter encouraging all state presidents and party leaders to take part in social harmony week. Apart from issuing the letter, Nadda has also addressed the outline of the initiatives that would be run during this period with all state presidents via video conferencing.
According to sources, for PM Modi’s address on April 6, the BJP has requested party workers in a letter to ensure that the Prime Minister’s message is heard by gathering in state, district, divisional, and booth-level offices. The party has instructed state units that booth committees and Panna Pramukhs in each booth should listen to the PM’s speech and that all booth presidents should display BJP flags in their residences.
After the PM’s speech, the party directed that BJP activists hold seminars and discussions on the party’s history and the achievements of the central government until April 14. In addition, party employees have been requested to invite intellectuals from society on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, as well as to decorate the party offices with lighting and distribute prasad.
The party’s office bearers, as well as all MPs and MLAs, have been mandated to participate in Foundation Day programmes, organise at least three programmes in one assembly constituency, and upload images on social media. In addition, directives have been issued to commemorate Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s birthday on April 14 by displaying his photo at booth-level programmes.
The BJP has also requested that intellectuals and social workers from the Dalit community be provided with full information regarding the schemes run by the central government for them. In this regard, there will be garlanding of Babasaheb’s images as well as initiatives for cleaning slums.
On the occasion of Dalit reformer and social theorist Jyotiba Phule’s birth anniversary on April 11, the OBC Morcha has directed that health check-up camps be organised, senior persons be honoured, meritorious students be rewarded, and senior BJP members be honoured.
On the party’s foundation day, instructions have also been issued to invite and congratulate workers who have been with the party from its inception. During social harmony week, the BJP’s many fronts will run various campaigns.
