Delhi Traffic Police Advisory: Check Independence Day Route Closures And Diversions

In preparation for Independence Day celebrations on August 15, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory outlining significant road closures and diversions. The restrictions will be in effect from 4:00 am to 11:00 am to ensure smooth and secure events around the Red Fort.

Key Traffic Restrictions:

• Road Closures: Several major roads will be closed during the advisory period, including:
  • Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chhatta Rail
  • Lothian Road from GPO to Chhatta Rail
  • SP Mukherjee Marg from HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk
  • Chandni Chowk Road from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort
  • Nishad Raj Marg from Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg
  • Esplanade Road and its link to Netaji Subhash Marg
  • Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT
  • Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover (Salimgarh Bypass)
  • Old Iron Bridge and Geeta Colony Bridge

• For Parking Labels 1 & SS:
  • From South Delhi: Rajghat Crossing -> Shanti Van Crossing -> Nishad Raj Marg -> Moat Road -> Delhi Gate -> Hathi Gate -> Respective Parking
  • From North Delhi: ISBT Kashmiri Gate -> Hanuman Setu Outer Ring Road -> Geeta Colony Flyover -> Shanti Van Crossing -> Nishad Raj Marg -> Moat Road -> Delhi Gate -> Hathi Gate -> Respective Parking
• For Parking Label 4:
  • From South Delhi: Rajghat Crossing -> Shanti Van Crossing -> Nishad Raj Marg -> Lower Netaji Subhash Marg -> Respective Parking
