Days after three UPSC aspirants lost their lives in a flooded basement of Delhi’s coaching centre, the Patna administration has begun verification of coaching centers At Bihar’s capital city.
As per Patna DM, they have constituted six-member teams, which will check coaching registration centres, safety measures, and their compliance with the following laws like building bylaws, fire exit, entry & exit section and their readiness to deal with emergencies.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh further announced that a six-member team will be led by sub-divisional officer. Other members like a sub-divisional fire brigade officer, municipal executive officer, Officer of circle, education officer of a block, and police station in-charge will also be included.
Following the probe, the officials will then have to give report within two weeks. If institutes are not up to the mark in report, they will be provided with time to solve the problem. If they are still not up to the standards, they will be closed.
