Delhi Water Minister Atishi on Saturday asked Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to resolve the issue of residents in Peeragarhi receiving blue, foamy water from their taps. She instructed him to submit a detailed report by July 29 at 5 pm.
“It has come to my attention from a social media video that some residents of Peeragarhi have been receiving bright blue foamy water. This is a very shocking incident and needs urgent intervention. This could be just the tip of a bigger underlying problem and could have very serious consequences in the future. This needs to be addressed immediately,” Atishi stated in her directive to the Chief Secretary.

Atishi further directed the Chief Secretary to call an urgent meeting of all senior officials from the concerned departments to resolve the issue as soon as possible. She also emphasized taking immediate action against any surrounding polluting units found violating pollution norms. A detailed report was requested to be submitted to her office by Monday, July 29, at 5 pm.
