As temperatures drop, Delhiites wake up on Saturday morning to a thin veil of smog, underscoring the city’s ongoing battle with pollution. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), several areas in the National Capital reported an Air Quality Index (AQI) that had dipped into the ‘very poor’ category.
The toxic air quality can be attributed to multiple factors including vehicular emissions, industrial pollution, and seasonal stubble burning from neighboring states and the firecrackers.
