Two inebriated passengers wreaked chaos on a Patna-bound IndiGo aircraft from Delhi, one of numerous recent cases involving drunk fliers.
Both passengers were detained at the airport police station for being intoxicated. According to Patna Airport SHO Robert Peter, the police initiated action when Indigo’s manager filed a formal complaint against the offenders.
He further stated that the accused will be brought before the court.
The incident occurred on IndiGo aircraft 6E-6383.
According to reports, Indigo warned air traffic controllers (ATC) before landing that two passengers were carrying booze.
The passengers were stopped by crew members for drinking alcohol, and they apologised in writing for the event, according to sources.
Earlier on January 7, police announced the arrest of one individual, Shankar Mishra of Bengaluru, for urinating on a senior citizen woman co-passenger in business class on an Air India trip from New York to Delhi on November 26.
The arrest was conducted based on the woman’s complaint.
A similar incident occurred last month when Air India reported an inebriated customer peeing on the blanket of a female passenger on the airline’s Paris-New Delhi route.
The DGCA has requested a report on an incident from Air India.
