According to party sources, the BJP’s Minority Morcha launched a Muslim outreach program called ‘Sufi Samvad Maha Abhiyaan’ on Wednesday in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections next year. To ensure the campaign’s success, the BJP has assembled a team of 150 non-political individuals to carry out this massive outreach effort across the country.
These people will be divided into teams and distributed across the country as part of the outreach to minorities ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections next year. The teams will travel to several Muslim-majority Lok Sabha constituencies to inform minorities about the work done by the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.
As part of this initiative, a year-long nationwide campaign will be carried out through various dialogue programs. A mega outreach event for Muslims will be organised at the end of the year under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
Speaking on the outreach program, the president of the BJP’s Minority Morcha, Jamal Siddiqui, said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi directed us to reach out to the Sufi community with the agenda of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas’. The idea is to be among the Muslim community and tell them that the government, under the leadership of PM Modi, works for all, irrespective of caste, creed, or community. We will also dispel false notions of the Opposition about the BJP and Prime Minister Modi.”
According to sources, outreach programs will be organised in Lok Sabha seats where Muslims account for more than 20% of the population. A variety of events, including seminars, dialogues, and door-to-door visits, will be planned and organised. Many states, including Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, and West Bengal, will launch a dedicated outreach campaign.

Prime Minister Modi has recently urged party leaders and workers to reach out to the minority community on several occasions. According to sources, at the BJP’s National Executive meeting in Delhi, he advised BJP workers to build relationships with people from all walks of life, particularly Bohra and Pasmanda Muslims, as well as Sikhs and Christians, without worrying about votes. The party believes that with the support of Muslims and other minorities, the BJP can secure an even larger mandate in 2024 than it did in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
