Fact Checking Team For Sandeshkhali Detained By WB Police

The state of West Bengal witnesses a new twist today (March 3rd). The West Bengal police can be seen stopping the Fact checking team that is sent by the center in Sandeshkhali.

The West Bengal police can be heard allowing only six team members in the town.

What happened?

Several days ago, a BJP fact-finding delegation, comprising Union Minister Annapurna Devi, Pratima Bhowmik, MP Sunita Duggal, Kavita Patidar, Sangeeta Yadav, and Rajya Sabha member and former Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh Brij Lal, encountered interference from the police when attempting to enter Sandeshkhali.

In Sandeshkhali, numerous women have accused local Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his associates of sexual assault. Village residents have organized protests, criticizing the lack of action by police authorities against the accused individuals. In response, the West Bengal police detained Uttam Sardar and Shibaprasad Hazra, close associates of Shahjahan.
